Students’ feedback on COMEDK exam 2018

On Sunday, more than 62,000 students appeared for the COMEDK exam. According to most of the students in Bengaluru, the exam was easier than the CET exam and last year’s COMEDK exam. Students told that Physics and Mathematics were easier than the chemistry paper. Hemakalash M, one of the COMEDK takers from KLE Nijalingappa College in Rajajinagar, said, “Physics and Mathematics were easier sections as most questions were direct and from the textbooks. The exam was easier than CET this year.” Harish B, another aspirant also said, “Physics was easy but although Mathematics was easy, it was lengthy. Chemistry was tougher, overall COMEDK was easier than CET.” Snehal Shyamsukha, a student from ISC board who took the test said, “CET was tough maybe because that was my first competitive exam. COMEDK felt an easy task also because I got more time to prepare after taking CET. I hoping to get a better rank because the number of candidates who have appeared for COMEDK is also less than that in CET.” Faraz Rabbani who came from Andhra Pradesh to take the test in Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering said “We took anight train and reached the test center at 7:30 ambecause I did not want to take any risk. Although I feltMathematics to be difficult and time taking, the examwas good because Physics was easy to write.” Madhav Jivrajan, a computer science engineeringaspirant said “The exam was easier because more questions were application based and not memory based, excepting the Chemistry section. Mathematics was lengthy but Physics was easiest. A lot of questions in all the sections were straight out from NCERT syllabus.” The exam was conducted on large scale, in 29 centers across the country.

TANCET hall tickets are available for download

In view of the Tamil Nadu, Common Entrance Test (TANCET), which is scheduled on May 19 Anna University has postponed its semester exams. The exams of the university will now begin from the June 1, which were earlier scheduled on May 19. The dates of the TANCET exam were announced by the Government of TN after Anna University has announced it its schedule of the semester exams. As of now, all the theory exams of more than 350 affiliated colleges have been postponed. Results for the Joint CSIR UGC NET 2017 exam declared

The results of the Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2017 exam have been declared by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research. Candidates who had appeared for the exam can visit the official website-- csirhrdg.res.in and check their respective results. According to the data available, 3973 candidates have qualified for the JRF (NET) CSIR, 87 candidates have qualified for the JRF, 1500 candidates have qualified for the JRF (NET) UGC and 4409 candidates have qualified for the NET. The exam was conducted by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research to determine the eligibility of the candidates for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and NET. Art and culture on the promotion list of the CBSE schools

Soon, CBSE schools in Kerala and Lakshadweep will start promoting the art, culture, and creativity among the students which will help them in showcasing their talents. According to the official of the board, this will contribute to the holistic development of the children. “Co-curricular activities supplement and complement the curricular or main syllabi activities. These are very important to develop the studentsʼ personality as well as to strengthen classroom learning”, Tarun Kumar, CBSE Regional officer, Thiruvananthapuram, told PTI. CBSE has already sent letters to all the 1350 schools in the Kerala and Union Territory of Lakshadweep and has asked the schools to start video channel or use any free app where students can exhibit their skills. Some schools have even started sharing the videos on Youtube and Vimeo. “We have prepared elaborate themes such as patriotism, love to humanity and compassion, empathy, caring and sharing, honesty, sincerity, and self-reliance as topics for the students to choose from, so that these human values can be inculcated”, Tarun Kumar said. These extra-curricular activities can be anything such as skits, dance-drama, extempore, flash mob, rendition, shadow play, tableau, motivational speech, a short film scripted and directed by students or a cartoon strip. Kumar told that all these activities should be organized in schools and no extra fee or participation fee will be charged from the students and the school should host the video of the best performer on weekly basis.

Results of class 12 of BSEB board postponed

The officials of the BSEB board have confirmed that the results of class 12 will be declared by the board by May 25. “The results will be out between May 20 and 25,” confirmed Rajiv Dubey, PRO, BSEB said. He further told that the results were delayed due to the scrutiny process. Earlier, the results were to be declared on May 14. The officials of the board also confirmed the news that the results of class 10 will be declared by the second week of the June. In this year’s exams, more than 17 lakh candidates appeared for the class 10 exams and about 12.80 lakh candidates appeared for the class 12 exams. Once the results are declared, candidates will be able to check their results on the official website-- biharboard.ac.in. Results will also be available through indiaresults.com, which is a third party portal. This year, the board took stringent measures to prevent the incidents of cheating and paper leak.

ICSE class 10 results | Things you need to know about

Students of class 10 and 12, who studied under the ICSE board are getting excited by every minute as their results will be declared by the board on May 14, 2018. Last year, the board had declared the results on May 29, 2017. With the results coming out in two days, below are some important things which every student needs to know: Online result Once the results are declared, candidates will be able to access their respective results by visiting the official websites -- www.cisce.org or www.results.cisce.org. By entering their unique ID students will be able to access their results. Saving the results After checking the results online, students are advised to save their results on the computer for any future reference as official mark sheets will be available only in due time. Get your result via SMS Students of class 10 can also get their results via SMS. For this, students are required to type in their unique ID in the following manner “ICSE 1234567” and then send to message on the number ‘09248082883’. Application of rechecking Council has also provided a provision through which students will be able to apply for recheck directly from the council’s website. However, students need to be aware that the rechecking facility (application) will remain open only for seven days. Digital locker Digitally signed copies of the statement of marks along with the passing certificate will be provided by the Council to the students who appeared for the exams through the DigiLocker facility. The digitally signed documents will be available to students after 48 hours of the results declaration.
