Rajasthan is fast becoming a favorite place for CLAT exam preparation and this year, the state managed to achieve a rare feat in which first four top rank holders are from the state. Aman Garg (AIR-1), Devansh Kaushik (AIR-2), Anmol Gupta (AIR-3) and Gunjan Jadeja (AIR-4) secured the top positions among the 63000 students from across the country. Of the top four, first three toppers are from Jaipur and the fourth rank holder is from Jodhpur. The state secured five ranks in the top 10 and Jaipur managed to bag 20 spots in the top 100 places. The three toppers are from the same batch and from the same commerce stream, who will now study for another 5 years together at the National Law University in Bangalore. Though, the toppers are from the same batch and institute their career paths are different. Garg wants to be a politician, Kaushik aspires to become a judicial officer (judge) and Gupta an argumentative Indian (lawyer). “My parents and teachers encouraged me to take up law as they find my arguments on every topic logical and rational. I thank them for guiding me to a career which suits my aptitude,” said Garg. For Kaushik, it is the second big win in less than week’s time as he also managed to score the first rank in the National Law University exam in Delhi. His aim is to expand the role of the judiciary in every aspect of the life. “Judiciary is clearing the mess around. They are the real torchbearers who have safeguarded the ethos of our constitution from time to time by sometimes taking Suo Moto cognizance or timely action on the PILs,” said Kaushik.
