CBSE will compensate the students for the typo in English class 10 board exam

CBSE will compensate the students for the typo in English class 10 board exam

Offering a relief to thousands of students, CBSE announced that it will provide the compensation of the two marks to the students for the typo error in the class 10 English board exam. The exam was conducted by the board on March 12. After the exam, several students and teachers approached the board with the plea that there were several errors in the comprehension passage section. In the exam, students were asked the synonyms of the words endurance, obstruction, and motivation but the paragraphs in which they were supposed to look for the answers were wrongly mentioned in the question. “The typing error has been noticed and it has been Board’s policy to not let students face any disadvantage. The marking scheme has been decided in the interest of students and all those who appeared for the particular question will be awarded two marks,” a senior CBSE official said. As per Swati Saxena, TGT English, VidyaGyan Bulandshahr, “Questions covered almost the entire syllabus. However, subjectivity was missing in a few questions. For example, ‘In the story, ‘Shady Plot’, why did Helen appear in bits and pieces?’ was a vague question in sense that there was much more (content) that must have become a part of the paper.” The board exams of class 10 and 12 are now over and students are eagerly awaiting the results of their exams.
