Amid COVID-19 lockdown, CLAT exam postponed



The Consortium of National Law Universities has announced the extension in the application process of the CLAT exam and also announced the new date of the exam, June 21. The last date of application submission has been extended to May 18. Earlier, the exam was scheduled on May 10 but was rescheduled to May 24 due to lockdown. Now, the exam has been rescheduled to June 21 due to the extension of lockdown. CLAT is a national level entrance exam conducted to shortlist the candidates for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered by 22 National Law Universities around the country. From this year, the exam will be held under a new pattern. The changes in the exam pattern have been made by the Consortium of National Law Universities. The number of questions in the exam have been reduced from 200 to 150. However, there is no change in the mode of the exam as it will be held in offline mode.
