Pending CBSE exams not to be conducted in Foreign Countries

Pending CBSE exams not to be conducted in Foreign Countries

CBSE has decided not to conduct any pending exams in foreign countries. Outside India, CBSE schools are located in 25 countries. CBSE said that these countries are also undergoing lockdowns and schools have been closed for a differential period of time in each country. As a result, CBSE will not be able to conduct the differential set of exams in each country. However, CBSE said that it will work out a system of marking and assessment for the purpose of declaring results which will be informed to schools shortly."There are several CBSE schools located in 25 countries. Each of these countries is also under lockdown and/or have decided to close down the schools for various and differential lengths of time," CBSE said in a statement. "Under such circumstances, it is felt that the Board will not be in a position to hold differential set of exams for each of these countries.  Also, in the present situation, it will be difficult to bring the answer books to India for evaluation purposes," the Board said."Therefore, the Board has decided to not hold any more exams for the students of class 10 and 12 schools located outside India. The system of marking/assessment for the purpose of declaring results will be worked out by the Board shortly and informed to these schools," it added.CBSE also said that it is very difficult for the board to announce a new schedule at such a time. However, any decision in this regard will be taken in consultation with higher education authorities keeping in mind various aspects such as entrance exams, admissions dates, etc.
